Stop Performing. Start Connecting.

If you’ve been performing for likes, love, or validation this is for you.

Social media trains us to curate highlight reels. Addiction trains us to hide. Together, they disconnect us from who we really are. In this short video, I break down how that performance mindset bleeds into dating, relationships, and recovery and how real healing starts when we get honest.

This is what I do at Kenshō Counseling. I help people strip away the masks and reconnect with what’s real through therapy that’s raw, grounded, and direct.

Whether you're battling sex or porn addiction, people-pleasing, emotional numbness, or performative dating this is your invitation to stop chasing approval and start building truth.

If You’re Done with Surface-Level Therapy...

Most people don’t need another therapist who just nods and asks, “How does that make you feel?”

They need someone who’s lived it. Someone who can sit in the fire with them. Someone who isn’t afraid to call out the patterns keeping them stuck.

In this video, I talk about what sets Kenshō Counseling apart: real therapy for people ready to go deep especially men dealing with addiction, trauma, intimacy issues, or emotional disconnection.

If you're ready for direct, grounded, recovery-focused work. I’m currently accepting new clients. In-person in West LA or online across California.

Feeling Stuck? You’re Not Alone.

f you’ve been spinning in the same cycles, porn, casual sex, toxic relationships, emotional shutdown and wondering why nothing ever changes, you’re not broken. You’re just stuck.

At Kenshō Counseling, I work with men who’ve done the surface-level work... but still feel empty. In this video, I speak to that feeling, the quiet shame, the isolation, the frustration of knowing there’s more to life, but not knowing how to reach it.

You don’t have to figure it out alone. This is where the shift begins. If you're ready to do something different, I'm here for it.

Who I am

About me

'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, and founder of Kenshō Counseling in West Los Angeles where I work with men battling sex, porn, and love addiction, emotional disconnection, and relational chaos. I also specialize in high-impact couples therapy, helping partners rebuild trust, improve communication, and reconnect after betrayal or emotional drift.

I run a virtual Men’s Sex Addiction Process Group and offer individual and couples therapy both in-office and online.

My style is real, direct, and grounded in experience, not just theory. I’ve been sober since 2008, after years of addiction, incarceration, and hitting bottom. I built my life back from the ground up starting with a GED in jail and eventually earning my MSW. I’ve served as a Clinical Director, worked on Skid Row, and helped lead treatment centers across California.

Now, I help men and couples stop the performance, do the inner work, and build something real. I use two-person psychology, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to support deep, lasting change.

This work is personal. And I don’t take it lightly.
If you're ready to go deeper, I’ve got your back.

My Philosophy

Change the story. Change the outcome.

At Kenshō Counseling, I help individuals especially men and couples rewrite the destructive narratives that have kept them stuck in cycles of addiction, shame, and disconnection. Whether you're battling sex addiction, love addiction, pornography compulsions, or relationship sabotage, the path to healing starts with honesty, accountability, and real human connection.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I draw from my own lived experience in long-term recovery, combining it with evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and two-person psychology.

You don’t need to perform here. This is a space where you can be raw, real, and supported as you do the work. I provide trauma-informed, client-centered therapy for individuals, couples, and families both in person in West Los Angeles and remotely across California.

True self-esteem doesn’t come from affirmations, which comes from living in alignment. Let’s rebuild your life from the inside out.

Individual and Group Therapy

We’re all doing the best we can with what we’ve been handed. But healing doesn’t happen in isolation, it happens in connection.

At Kenshō Counseling, I offer both individual therapy and a men’s sex addiction process group, designed for those ready to face their deepest fears, patterns, and truths. Whether you're struggling with compulsive porn use, intimacy issues, emotional numbness, or relationship sabotage, the work begins by turning inward and doing it alongside others who get it.

You can’t think your way into healing. You have to feel your way there.
That’s why we create a space where you can be real, supported, and challenged with compassion, not coddling.

In individual sessions, we’ll work 1:1 to identify the core wounds driving your addiction or emotional pain. In group therapy, you'll connect with other men navigating similar struggles building accountability, vulnerability, and strength in numbers.

This is spiritual work. This is shadow work. And this is where the story starts to change.

Freedom

Addiction is a trap that isolates us, breaks trust, and drowns us in guilt and shame. At Kenshō Counseling, we work to break that cycle one honest moment at a time.

Whether it’s sex addiction, porn compulsivity, codependency, or emotional withdrawal, the goal is the same: freedom from the patterns that keep you stuck. Together, we’ll dismantle the lies your addiction has told you about yourself, your worth, and your relationships.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about truth. When your head and heart begin to align, you start speaking from the soul not the survival mode. That’s where intimacy begins. That’s where connection lives.

Here, we focus on healing the roots, not just managing symptoms. We’ll work to restore relationships, build emotional resilience, and reclaim your voice from the grip of shame.

Because freedom isn’t the absence of struggle, it’s the ability to face life without abandoning yourself.

Providing a Safe Space

Healing begins with safety, and too many men never get the chance to feel it.

At Kenshō Counseling, I offer a grounded, judgment-free space for individuals ready to break cycles of addiction, shame, and self-sabotage. Whether you’re struggling with sex or porn addiction, emotional disconnection, or intimacy issues, we’ll face it together with honesty, structure, and compassion.

My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed. This means we move at your pace, but we don’t avoid the hard stuff. I’ll listen deeply, challenge gently, and help you take consistent action toward recovery and reconnection.

This work is for anyone ready to stop performing and start showing up for yourself and the people you love. I’ve got your back. Let’s start this journey.
